Great Horned Owls… Winter 2022/2023
Male checking out a potential nest for the female….
On this day last season I spent several hours with the male and female Great Horned Owl. It was a beautiful day observing them in the woods and both owls were very active.
The male Great Horned Owl will find some potential nesting sites to show the female, then the female will make the decision which nest she’ll use. Two days later this would become the second nest for her this season.
