I was back out looking for some deer this afternoon. The bucks look like they're splitting up. I saw the same three does. They approached me from behind. The two smallest ones were only 10 feet from me, but my view of them was blocked by the conifer that I sit near while photographing. I was able to take an iPhone picture of mom while the little ones were next to me. I watched the buck for about 20 minutes before he came out into the open and then he went over an joined the does.
Deer Head shots...Relatively slow day seeing deer last night, Tuesday, 10-06-20. I saw a total of four...3 does and one buck. Two does came out of the treeline and ran directly toward me and stopped about 15 yards away. I figured they recognized me from the night before and just want to say hi. Since my lens was fixed at 700mm all I could get were some head shots. The buck I saw a couple times. I was actually surprised I got a photograph of him.
Here are my deer photos from tonight. The big 10 pointer didn't want to come out in the open. I wasn't going to post the shot with his face obscured by the foliage, but that's the best shot he provided tonight. I watched him for about a half hour eating inside the tree line but I couldn't get a clear shot.

Great Horned Owl... I've heard him, seen him a few times, found his feather, but today I was able to photograph him. I started photographing him from about 40 yards, but I was much further away when I first saw him. Eventually after spending some time near him I was able to get about 20 to 25 yards away. If there wasn't some other branches blocking him I'm sure I could have gotten closer.
