Ronnie Baker Brooks

Ronnie Baker Brooks played at the Minnesota Music Cafe on Friday, 05-13-11. Early on he brought up Jellybean Johnson on stage who played a considerable amount of time.

Before the first break, Ronnie strolled through the bar to the bar where he ended up pouring himself a drink without stopping. Next he proceded to drink the drink.

Before he left the bar he made a couple ladies blush while playing directly in front of him.

I really enjoyed Ronnie's first set which he played the "blues". The second set seemed to be mostly "funk". This set Ronnie brought more guest up to sit in. First it was Bernard Allison's drummer who switched places with C.J. Tucker without skipping a beat. Next up was Jonny Lang's drummer.

The other person who got up on stage was (I believe) , Terry Lewis. If I was more into "funk" music I probably would know. If it was Terry, both him and Jellybean, were with "The Time". Jellybean played drums with them.

Overall, there was a lot of energy in the playing. I believe some of the images captured it.

There's a link at the bottom of this post to more images.
