Light It Shoot It Retouch It LIVE! with Scott Kelby in Minneapolis

On Monday, 04-04-11, I went to the Minneapolis Convention Center to see Scott Kelby's Light It Shoot It Retouch It LIVE!

I'm a NAPP (National Association of Photoshop Professional) member so this class cost me $79. I'm also a subscriber to Kelby Training on-line and I've seen this class on video, but I wanted to see Scott in person. It was worth the money.

In addition I re-newed my NAPP membership another two years so I got two DVD's and one book essentially free. I picked up Scott's latest book, Professional Portrait Retouching Techniques for Photographers using Photoshop. The two videos were Freeze Motion Photography featuring Frank Doorhof (I'm a big fan of Frank's work) and Lightroom 3: In Depth featuring Matt Kloskowski. I bought an additional book, Rafael "RC" Concepcion's, Get Your Photography On The Web.

I just got done purchasing these items, turned around, and standing there was Scott Traczyk. Scott is another partner/photographer at Second Street Photography Studios with me. I had no idea he was attending. Of the 600 attendees he was the only one I recognized.

Although I didn't go up and stand in line to meet Scott, I did go up to Brad Moore and introduced myself. I was walking back into the room after lunch and Brad was standing by the entryway so I walked up to him and said hi before sitting back down.

We were provided with a booklet with all the notes so all we had to do was watch. I found Scott to be quite humorous throughout the day. It was refreshing to see his humor while interacting with Brad, the models and the crowd...basically anyone he dealt with.

There was three models during the day. Two females and one male. One of the models, Stevie, I recognized from other Scott Kelby videos.

I took some photos during the day. I used my 50 mm so I needed to do some cropping.
